The Project W OMAY 18 Tormore Distillery Cask Strength Single Cask is the third release of The Project W and inaugural age statement bottling.
Marking a significant milestone for the brand, this release represents the first-ever age-statement bottling in The Project W portfolio.
The name “Omay” roots from Turkic mythology; Umay (often associated with the name Omay) is the goddess of fertility & nature.
Hand selected by Dr. Burkay Adalığ, Tormore bourbon cask number 700541 was filled in 12.05.2007 and was captured at its peak after an 18 year maturation process and bottled at 60.5% by KA Spirits. As it is drawn from a single cask, The Project W OMAY 18 is a limited edition of just 115 bottles, a unique discovery for true whisky enthusiasts and collectors.

Remarkably approachable for a high-proof spirit, it displays absolutely no alcohol burn. It opens with pronounced vanilla and the rich, thick sweetness of overripe banana. On the palate, it delivers a beautifully warming, mouth-coating texture that settles comfortably toward the back of the mouth. The flavor profile is deeply comforting and indulgent, evoking the distinct sensation of biting into warm, honey-drizzled buttered toast, seamlessly layered with the notes of a banana Swiss roll cake.
Unlike many cask-strength whiskies in this ABV range, it doesn’t desperately demand dilution, yet it reacts magnificently to a few drops. The addition of water triggers a vibrant explosion of floral and fruity complexities. Fragrant notes of blooming lilac and a nostalgic, clean whisper of lavender emerge, closely followed by a wave of bright citrus notes reminiscent of dark colored, heavily seeded tangerines.
Exceptionally graceful finish. Despite the formidable 60.5% ABV, it glides down the throat with a frictionless smoothness rarely seen at this strength. The finish is outstandingly long, lingering on the palate to leave a rich, zesty, and creamy final impression akin to a slice of fresh lemon cheesecake.

Smoke with a sweeter side.
Established in 1775, Glenturret Distillery is the oldest working distillery in Scotland. Every year, Glenturret produces a limited volume of heavily peated spirit that is called “Ruadh Maor”
Hand selected by Keeper of the Quaich, whisky author Burkay Adalig (Meleklerin Payi), this special Glenturret Ruadh Maor cask yielded 288 bottles at a cask strength of 55.8%.

Tasting notes
Well balanced smokiness and sweetness on the nose. Sweet peat smoke is reminiscent of newly burnt matches. Earthy and cured meat like flavors are accompanied by vanilla, honey, subtle hint of dried figs and liquorice. It has an elegant shyness at first; patience and dilution are rewarded. A couple of drops of water and some time spent in the glass release more diverse aromas and flavours to explore. Mouth watering sweetness continues on the palate with an added pepperiness; eucalyptus and pine needles emerges from the depths. Wonderfully long, warm and spicy finish with multiple layers.
